Pivot Point Passage
What is Pivot Point Passage?
Pivot Point Passage is a listening and coaching program designed around a life-changing event marked by the past that no longer exists and the future that is unclear. This work catalyzes self-reflection and imagination to shape a new focus or direction. Over six months of structured tasks and conversations we journey through stages of discovery. This builds a foundation for a path forward guided by clarity, resolution, and wisdom.
This engagement blends career and life coaching, business management consulting, spiritual and religious explorations and simple time spent with a trusted friend hashing out ideas. The context of this work recognizes the larger world, communities, friends, families and the client’s personal interests. The understanding of interconnectedness frames the Pivot Point Passage perspective. Every working session is a time of deep listening, nonjudgement, grounded presence and reciprocal dialog.
What the Engagement Includes
Project framing – an initial 2-3 hour conversation that establishes the project’s background, framework and key objectives.
Program design – a six-month plan with objectives, processes and tasks, including a suggested calendar of client engagement activities.
General tools – various processes and support capabilities such as a scorecard and task tips.
Ten hours of companionship and dialog per month – eight hours structured, two hours ad hoc:
- Two 2-hour theme or purpose-specific sessions
- Two 2-hour check-in and review sessions
- Two hours (cumulative) of as-needed, on-call sessions
Monthly activity summary – review and looking forward.
Closing session – one comprehensive review and planning session in the last month.
Is This For You?
Pivot Point Passage is designed for people standing at a genuine threshold – a career ending or beginning, a business sold or wound down, a loss, a move, a role that no longer fits. If the shape of what comes next is still unclear, this is a companioned way to find it.
